Another product produced by PT Petro Oxo Nusantara besides octanol is n-Butanol. The chemical formula of n-Butanol is C4H9OH. Normal Butanol is the reaction product of n-butyraldehyde obtained from the hydroformylation process or the oxo process which is reacted with hydrogen gas (H2). The product of n-Butanol is in the form of a clear white liquid and has a sharp smell.
