Normal Butanol adalah produk reaksi dari n-butyroldehyde yang diperoleh dari proses hydroformylation atau oxo process yang diereaksikan dengan hydrogen gas (H 2). Produk n-Butanol berbentuk cairan putih yang jernih, dan berbau tajam.
